When Kate Middleton married Prince William and became the Duchess of Cambridge, her sister Pippa also got a title of her own — the Duchess’ sister.
It’s About Laying Low
It may be tough to believe, but royal life isn’t all about ballrooms and diamond jewelry. There are many ordinary aspects to it, like doing grocery shopping and catching a cab to go meet a friend. In the case of Pippa, she presumably does it for the very mundane reason for laying low and enjoying some privacy. Can you imagine if your taxi driver started taking pictures and asking your autograph instead of driving you to your dentist appointment?
Pippa Goes By the Name of Lucy
Speaking of taxi drivers, one recently said that Pippa used the name Lucy to book a taxi ride. She ordered a taxi under Lucy Middleton and kept calling the driver to ask if he had arrived at the address since she was hiding in a dark doorway. Lucy isn’t entirely a fake name because there is Lucy Middleton, who is Kate and Pippa’s cousin. The driver said he Googled the name and realized he had indeed driven Pippa and not Lucy.
Since Pippa recently got married to James Mathews, it’s likely she wants to get more privacy to enjoy married life. And unlike her sister Kate who can’t escape the public eye, even while she’s in Waterstones buying books for her children, Pippa still has more ways to remain incognito, and there is nothing wrong with that. Everyone deserves to have some ‘me’ time, even royals. Wouldn’t you agree?
