The popular Canadian drama series Degrassi made waves for decades, even premiering on top media channels. The teenagers who were cast in the drama have grown significantly over the years. Here’s where the teenage stars of the Degrassi cast are today.

Mia Jones debuted on the show in Season 6. Being a teenager with a baby, her interaction with other students wasn’t smooth, she had to deal with resentment. The Degrassi star is the keenly religious type who was also a cheerleader. Remembered for the notable attack incident in the seventh season, she eventually left Degrassi for Kenya. After Degrassi, she starred in The Detail and Scream 4.

He has not been in too many shows over the years. In the Netflix show Anne with an E, he played the role of Sebastian Bash. Later, he featured in the Canadian sitcom ” Crawford” and a couple of shows.

Andrea Lewis has forever earned the love of Degrassi fans following her role as Hazel Aden. She later graduated Degrassi and moved on in the series. Shortly after leaving the show, she landed the role of Hillary Duff’s bestie in Cadet Kelly.

Despite being best remembered for Degrassi, she has featured in a couple of movies in the late 1990s and early 2000s, Down in Delta and Soul Food being some of the many. In 2009, she appeared in a musical film by Nickelodeon. In 2013, she took her career further, creating a series called Black Actress and starred in it.

Sean’s role in Degrassi made being bad somewhat adorable. His captivating look got Ellie and Emma drooling over him. He eventually graduated to join the army. In later years after his role in the drama series, he seldom featured in any movie again.

However, he did have one role before leaving Hollywood behind. Together with Jorge Ramos, he worked for Fusion TV as a reporter and was a producer for another media channel. Unlike many of the co-acts from the Degrassi cast, he sadly missed the reunion in the viral Drake’s music video, “I’m Upset.”

Talking of Degrassi before and after, she has since been in many movies and TV shows. Her most recent appearance is the show Workin Moms, a 2019 release. Alongside co-stars from Degrassi, she appeared in Slasher, a horror series.

Darcy’s younger sister Clare won the attention of many following her ordeals with health and her personal life. Later she was a victim at the hands of her boss.

Clare Edwards has the most appearances in Degrassi after Mr. Simpson. Her role won a couple of awards and many nominations. On leaving Degrassi, she played key roles in some TV shows. She starred in Dark Matter as well as Heroes Reborn.

She’s easy to remember, especially considering she tied the knot with Spinner. She attended Smithdale University with her childhood best friend Manny Santos. Miriam McDonald hasn’t been all too busy acting or singing since Degrassi.

However, she has occasionally appeared in some movie series. One such is the Orphan Black where she appeared in an episode and a year later in a movie. Then before her role in the movie A Veteran’s Christmas in 2018, she reprised her position as Emma in an episode of Degrassi two years earlier.

The twins in the Degrassi series enjoyed a couple of seasons, featuring in many episodes. They both played interesting roles. After their time acting in the Degrassi series, they both left Hollywood.

They went to study journalism, however, Angela returned to Canada to feature in some TV shows while also serving as a school teacher. As for Maureen, she never returned to acting and went completely off the radar; living a quiet life.

Emo Eli spent ample time on the show, appearing in many seasons of Degrassi: Next Class. His unsteady relationship with Clare was one of the easy to remember storylines.

Before his time in the show, the 30-year-old actor also played the role of Wilder in The Latest Buzz for four years. Later, he also starred in series like Harpoon, Riot Girls, and other TV shows. He has stayed active as an actor.

Joey was the musician in the Degrassi Junior High show back in the ’80s. After his role, he got a job as a waiter and later worked as a paver for his father. In later seasons, he resumed his role as a Joey and was a key part of the show over the next five seasons.

After Degrassi: The Next Generation, he continued to act in many movies and series. He was in the Unlucky, Saving Hope, and more recently, Dark Matter. The 48-year-old Canadian actor continues to thrive well in the movie industry to add to his long list of TV series and movies.

Dayo Ade is the cool fella who played Bryant Lester Thomas in the Degrassi Junior High. He was the easy going guy also known as BLT. Many of the stars in Degrassi have continued mostly in acting.

Of them all, Dayo Ade seems to be the most successful in terms of starring in big movies. First, he was in the popular series Lost, as well as CSI-NY. Later, he got a role in the high-ranking series; Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Talk of her long name and being a valedictorian in 2012 when she graduated from the University. Sarah hasn’t been into acting after her role in Degrassi. Presently she’s a DJ and has managed projects, she managed project Dandelion for a couple of weeks. She’s had a quiet and pretty simple life.

Stefan played the role of the nice and cheerful Archie “Snake” Simpson in Degrassi Junior High and other seasons. He enjoyed a long time in the series as a Degrassi teacher and principal.

His role as Archie allowed him to be present in all the Degrassi seasons. Up until 2015, he was still behind the scenes. In recent times, he continues to direct TV series and movies.

Shay Mitchell had an appearance that was so short, that if one tried to grab some pop-corn, you would have completely missed her. She gave Mia advice since she dropped out of school to face her career.

Additionally, in the aspects of relationships with past cast members of Degrassi, he has maintained a friendship with his on-screen bestie Lauren Collins, who played the character, Paige. Adamo continues to act and enjoy the occasional roles he gets.

Yick Yu played by Siluck Saysanasy was a poor Vietnamese boy who escaped the war and relocated to Canada with his family. He starred in many seasons of Degrassi Junior High. He was friends with Arthur Kobalewscuy and later grew close to a bunch of cool guys.

He has switched his specialty in recent times. He does behind the camera jobs and no longer acts. His position in movie crews pegs him as an assistant director in some TV series like the popular Designated SurvivorThe Mortal Instruments, and Shadow Hunters.

Stacey Farber debuted in Season 2 of the Degrassi series before graduating, and in the end, attended the University of Toronto. She hadn’t lost her acting skills and still featured on Diggstown among other TV dramas.

Similar to many of Degrassi‘s stars, the memories of early days acting alongside friends prompts her to upload throwback pictures of the Degrassi days. However, Stephen Amell starred as Oliver Queen in the popular TV series Arrow. He’s still active as an actor and landing good roles in several movies. Amongst movies like Private Practice, Hung, and Rent a Goalie, he also starred in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.

Nic was the ex-boyfriend of Nina and was quite an angry guy. He was believed to incited the clash between two big schools. Since he left the Canadian drama series, he has worked as an actor in numerous TV shows and movies.
