Actress Nicola Peltz Beckham’s marriage to nepo baby Brooklyn Beckham has sparked controversy over the years. With rumors of arguments and Nicola failing to get along with Brooklyn’s famous parents – former athlete David Beckham and former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham – it seems that the young couple can’t catch a break. So, Nicola has finally decided to lean into the rumors and revealed that she cut Brooklyn from her newest movie.

The Scene That We’ll Never See

Nicola does it all in the movie Lola – the actress writes, directs, and stars in the movie, making the film her directorial debut. Like many other directors, Nicola wanted to give a little wink to the audience by having her significant other give a cameo appearance. However, she ended up cutting her husband, Brooklyn’s scene, which she jokes he’s “actually really upset” about. The actress explained, “He had one line, ‘Hi,’ but he kept saying it in a British accent and he was staring directly into the camera.” She admitted that they eventually had to give up and move on with filming.

A Supportive Family

Despite Nicola cutting Brooklyn’s acting career short, she clarified that he was still extremely supportive of her film. She said, “I couldn’t have done any of this without him because he was such a massive support to me every day on set which I’m so appreciative of.” If it’s any consolation to Brooklyn, he wasn’t the only loved one Nicola cut from the film. Her brother, Will Peltz, does appear in the movie, but his role is much smaller than one might think. Nicola explained, “I wanted my brother to have a much bigger part, but the thing is, to anyone who might not know he’s my brother they might be thinking to themselves, ‘Wait, why didn’t she end up with that guy? That guy seems great and he’s so handsome.’ But, like, okay, that would not work out.”

Sorry, gentlemen, but we have to agree with Nicola, those were both good calls.
